MEET AMANDA

Hey, I’m Amanda! I’m an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist and a proud mom of two toddlers. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Union College with a major in psychology and a minor in dance. I went on to receive a Master of Science (MS) in speech-language pathology from CUNY Hunter College. I’m a dynamic and creative therapist with over a decade of experience working in schools and private practice. I specialize in providing child-centered therapy to target each child's unique set of needs while incorporating their strengths and interests. I strive to build confidence: confidence to communicate, confidence to explore, and confidence to support your own child in reaching his or her full potential. I feel passionately about not only supporting my students to improve their speech and language skills, but I also value the importance of collaborating with parents, caregivers, and siblings to provide the whole family with strategies for fostering growth at home. I have extensive experience collaborating with social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, other speech therapists and educators in order to implement effective therapeutic intervention. It takes a village to raise children, and I am always willing to work with your whole village!
